Empower Your Body Beyond An Image On Stage
Broadway Athletes Programs.
As singers, dancers, and/or actors you place demands of your body that aren’t dissimilar to athletes. As performers you are asked to perform 8x a week during a run of 4-6months. Your body goes through a lot of physical demand and thats if best case scenario everything goes smoothly on the show, which we all know it never does. So not only do you have to be prepared to perform at your best 8x a week but you also have to be mentally and physically prepared to pivot and fulfill different demands than those you were training for.
The stage is your career and your lifestyle. Both your career and your lifestyle are particular to you, which means if you want to be ready for the demands your body will be exposed to then you have to train it in a way that is particular to you and how your body responds to those demands. You are not a Crossfit athlete, nor are you a soccer player nor are you basketball player. You have to build mental and body resilience, endurance to get you through all the rehearsals and classes and performances performing at your best, breath work efficiency for better recovery and better diaphragm synchronization with your movements, explosiveness to change directions easier, smoother and faster, strength and proper use of your joints in internal and external rotations because shoulder injuries, lower back injuries, hamstring injuries, ankle injuries, are so common in performers that its become part of the business.

The Truth is that:
Performers are constantly measured to fit a standard image of beauty that has been fed through a system for years. Most Performers — singers, dancers, and/or actor alike — train chasing numbers, measurements and and sizes to fit an aesthetic view, which often roots a negative and detrimental relationship with their bodies, health, self-care, and self worth as artists and athletes. They are misled in how to approach the treatment of their most valuable asset: their bodies.
These types of training often found in bootcamps, generic grab-and-go templates, and Group Fitness classes are based on the celebration of aesthetic metrics instead of the optimal use and training of your only body as a method of expression of your talents and gifts.
As dancers, singers and/or actors you expect to be valued and respected as professionals, but in order for that to happen you must first behave as a professional outside the theater.
You must train your craft, your body, and your mind to be able to respond to the immediate and, more often than not, erratic demands of the theater world. The new stage should look like the bodies of the artists who use their voices to make it better.

What Performers Are Saying:
“The breakdown of exercises and structure of workout flow was very nice. I loved that the weeks were all very similar which takes away the intimidation factor of “I don’t know how to do this really” since we’ve already seen the movements before and can now improve upon them.” — Luis M.
“On days that my schedule is a little more hectic I find that I look forward to the exercises as my break because it makes me feel so good and strong. I am feeling such a difference in my body, in my breathing and my overall energy level” — Emily L.
“There was a huge shift in my leg stamina. My legs feel lighter and stronger. Taking ballet daily- this program has created such clear understanding/growth for the specific muscles we use constantly as dancers.”— Ana Gabriela C.
